AIF Announces Haiti Relief Fund

Dear Supporter:
Yesterday, we announced the AIF Haiti Relief Fund. Many of you have responded quickly and generously and we are deeply grateful. The aftershocks felt yesterday in Haiti are another reminder that Haitians face a long road ahead and we must do our own part to support them.
Some of you have pointed that in the time before the AIF appeal you have used other via media to help Haiti earthquake victims; I thank all of you who have used any route to support relief efforts in Haiti.
Some donors also reported confusion about the donation information provided yesterday. There are two ways to make a donation:
1. You can make a contribution online here. After filling in some basic information on the landing page, you will be able to designate the funds to the Haiti Relief Fund on the second page.
2. Mail in a check made out to the AMERICAN INDIA FOUNDATION but designated to the Haiti Relief Fund. AIF's mailing address is:

Dear AIF Supporter,
In the aftermath of the 2001 Gujarat Earthquake and the 2004 Tsunami,
the world stood by those affected in India. Today, our brothers and
sisters in Haiti have been devastated by an earthquake, and we must
support the rehabilitation of their lives.
Although AIF will not be working directly in Haiti, we are raising funds
to support partner organizations of ours that are working on the relief
and rehabilitation efforts on the ground. We will channel 100 % of your
funds toward the William J. Clinton Foundation and CARE International,
both of which are working with communities in Haiti to begin the long
process of rebuilding.
We encourage all our supporters who are contemplating making a contribution to do that through AIF so
that we can demonstrate our collective caring for the thousands of people whose
